This is an unique issue on a surface that has win10 installed on the machine. The current version is Dynamics SL 2015CU1. the system message: " unable to locate the message file |:.....\message.csv " pops up on the screen whenever user tries to login and also clicks any option on any option. The user has full access to the mapping drive. Any idea how do we fix the issue? Thanks

Forum Post: Programming BulletProof Error 10089
Hi Has anyone experienced a programming bulletproof error 10089 message followed by a system message 10063 and know how to resolve this issue? The user is getting this message on the shippers screen on doing a return. The 10089 states " warning database displayed during a database transaction. Attempting to display, system message 9, item not found". This is then followed by the system message 10063 " attempting a database update outside of a transaction". Any suggestion will be appreciated. Regards

Forum Post: Transaction import stopping with no errors
We have a transaction import which is regularly stopping and returning the user to the SL menu screen. The TI log file does not detail any errors, therefore we are not sure of the cause. This has started happening since we upgraded from SL7 to SL2015 CU2. Has anyone else experienced this and identified the cause or at least enabled the TI log file to report the error it has encountered.

Extended Support Gone for Dynamics SL 7 What version of Microsoft Dynamics SL is your company currently using? If you’re still operating on Dynamics SL 7.0, you should know that you are about to lose what little remaining Microsoft support you have for the product. Microsoft’s Extended Support for Dynamics SL version 7.0 is scheduled to end today — Oct. 10, 2017. What exactly does that mean? This is a known issue that can be resolved by the following: Use REGEDIT to do the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\DynamicsSL---> Change the INSTALLDIR and ParentDirectory entries from the UNC path to the mapped drive path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Solomon\SolomonIV Tools for Visual Basic -->Parent Directory change the UNC path to the mapped drive path

When you say it was "no help", do you mean nothing was there, or you are not sure how to interpret it? PC Message 0281 might mean Allocator cannot find a Rate, but posting the results of the Event Log would be helpful in order to assist you.

Did you create a new TI Control file after the upgrade, or are you still using the one from SL 7? Try creating a new TI CTL file, and see if that works.

Hi Mark, We used the conversion utility to convert the CTL file during the upgrade. The issue is odd in that it runs sometimes and stops on other occasions. Unfortunately when it stops the user is returned to the menu screen and no error is shown or written to the log file.

Forum Post: Splitting of Bins
Hi I have a scenario where I have two bins set up for one site. I have quantities available in both bins, for example in bin 1, I have 20 quantities and in bin 2, I have 40 quantities for an item. On doing on a sale, I am selling 10 quantities for the item. In the shippers screen I am seeing an asterisk * in the warehouse bin location column and when I click on the line item and then click on the bin/lot button, I am seeing where the system is taking 10 quantities from bin 1 and 10 quantities from bin 2. My question is, what will cause the system to take quantities from two or more bins and how to prevent this from occurring? I am seeing "splitting lots" on the line item checked, but that seems to be checked by default and I cannot uncheck it. By the way, the items are not defined as lot/serial. Any suggestions/responses will be appreciated.

Major release of Dynamics SL coming in 2018 Jeff Suwyn of Microsoft reveals the latest Dynamics SL roadmap during an Oct. 3 webinar. The next major release of Microsoft Dynamics SL will debut next year, Microsoft announced. The much-anticipated updated version is expected sometime in the first half of 2018. Microsoft initially planned to announce the news at the annual Dynamics SL User Group (DSLUG) Fall Conference last month, but the conference was postponed until next spring due to hurricane threats. Rather than wait until the rescheduled April 2018 conference to announce the news, Microsoft Dynamics SL Product and Marketing Manager Jeff Suwyn held a webinar version of his planned General Session. During the Oct. 3 webinar, he announced the latest version of SL and revealed a new product roadmap. Few details are available so far regarding Dynamics SL 2018, but we do know that the product will feature the latest technology related to Power BI, Power Apps and Flow. We can also expect improvements to Web Apps and, as always, specific features requested by users. We will share more details as we get them so sign up for our blog to get the latest news emailed directly to your inbox.

I am having a similar issue with a customized screen in SL2015. I exported the customization and reviewed the cst file/sstab control. There is nothing in it that would change the default tab. I even tried removing this section and importing the customization. That did not resolve the issue. Any chance the default tab is set somewhere else?
